Caleb and Katy McEwen work at the Brave New Workshop, which is a theatre despite numerous claims to the contrary. Their work has infuriated numerous special interest groups while mildly amusing numerous other regular interest groups. They are the parents of Isaac and Annie, a pair of tiny people with disproportionate strength and cunning. Caleb and Katy have managed to keep both of their children alive for some time now, although all of their plants have died slow, horrible deaths.
