Ben San Del

“Sharp, with perfect pacing” – St. Paul Pioneer Press ...“On-target stalwart” – Minneapolis City Pages...“Always tops on my list” – Twin Cities Daily Planet. A former news writer, Ben's performance career kicked off after winning Acme Comedy Co.'s Funniest Person in the Twin Cities Contest in 2006. Since then, he has balanced a professional career in stand-up comedy with his work as a theatrical producer, playwright and journalist. He wrote and starred in 2010's "A Nice Guy's Guide to Awkward Sex," the fifth best-selling production of the Fringe. His follow-up play, "Minnesota Middle Finger," also landed in the top-five best-selling shows of Fringe 2011. Ben's other Fringe productions include the encore-winning stand-up comedy show, "Animal Cracker Genocide," the storytelling performance, "Strawberry Fields Temporarily," and his monologue, "Mittens for Fat Kids." Ben will appear next in the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival in Atlanta.
